Why is some nylon tubing so cheap?

PA11 & P12/ Nylon 11 & 12 are very costly materials; unscrupulous importers often import PA6/ Nylon 6 tubing, which is a fraction of the cost, and still print PA12 on the tube to disguise this fact. A simple SG test will confirm this.

Is PVC suction hose chemical resistant?

Please see our PVC chemical resistance chart to confirm products suit your requirements. (we also have a Nylon chemical resistance chart to view)

Can you use Polyurethane for airbrake coils?

No! PU does not comply with airbrake specs and is not heat or pressure resistant. To try and overcome this problem PU tube manufacturers increase the wall thickness, this is not ideal as it restricts the internal diameter and minimizes airflow to the brakes. Fitting retention, particularly under heat, is extremely poor. It is not uncommon for fittings to pop off on a hot day. Considering the application of this product, no chances should be taken using PU tubing as an alternative.
